| Experience I have worked as an
assistant for the Edwards Associates and my father since I could talk, my
father being one of the founders and President. I started off tallying
data, then learning computer systems, then serving as an executive
assistant, then as one on one interviewer, and finally as a Director of
Spanish Speaking Projects.
I am now a full time entertainer. While I do a bit of everything,
the bulk of my work comes from musical theatre. I started in college
and then did some regional work, and since 1999 I have been a member of the
Actors Equity Association, which is the professional union for theatre, as
well as the Screen Actors Guild, which is its sister union for film and
television actors.
Working my way up in responsibility in an organization is much the same as
taking upon larger and more professional roles as an actor. As I
grew in maturity and confidence my abilities increased as have my
responsibilities.
The Institute principles have helped me understand the values associated
with decision making. That in turn has helped me understand the
various characters I play on stage. I think I have a better understanding of
why people act the way they do and that helps me to me to be more secure in
my relationships and interactions with others. |
